Cancellation & Refund Policy
These terms explain how cancellations, changes and refunds work for Whale Express tours.
1) Free cancellation up to 48 hours
You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. In this case, we will issue a refund of the amount paid (excluding any non-refundable payment processing fees, if applicable).
2) Late cancellations (less than 48 hours): no refund
If you cancel less than 48 hours before departure, or if you do not show up at the meeting point on time, the booking is considered a late cancellation / no-show and no refund will be provided.
3) Changes to your booking
If you need to change date or time, contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to help, but changes are subject to availability. If a change request is made within 48 hours of departure, it may be treated as a late cancellation depending on the situation and available options.
4) Weather & sea conditions (captain’s decision)
Safety comes first. Tours may be delayed, modified or cancelled due to weather, sea conditions, or any safety-related reason. The decision is made by the captain and/or the crew.
If Whale Express cancels the tour due to unsafe conditions, you will be offered one of the following:
- Reschedule to the next available departure (free of charge), or
- Refund of the amount paid (excluding any non-refundable payment processing fees, if applicable).
5) Meeting point & boarding time
Please arrive early for a relaxed check-in. The meeting point is Puerto Colón, Costa Adeje — Pontoon 4. If you arrive late and miss the departure, it may be treated as a no-show.
6) Refund method & processing time
Approved refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the booking whenever possible. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a few business days for the funds to appear on your account.
